Tequila Sheila Around the Word

A late night of cocktails and outlaw country music will no doubt generate wild ideas … most of them bad ideas. Maybe it was the music, maybe it was the company, maybe it was fine anejo tequila … no telling … but the idea of the name “Tequila Sheila” seemed to be pure brilliance! Once the name appeared, the next ideas involved logos and merchandise … some of these ideas and graphics were not so brilliant.

After several artistic trials and tribulations, a graphic artist friend pushed the amateurs aside and developed the fine logo we have today. Not yet the “Nike Swoosh” or the “GE Meatball,” the Tequila Sheila logo is very recognizable and always brings a smile!

Currently, our logo merchandise includes t-shirts, beers koozies, and window stickers. We are very fortunate to have friends and fans throughout the US and western Europe who have our merchandise. In the spring of 2015, we received a funny picture from a Dave Matthews Band concert in Atlanta. The picture was simply a Tequila Sheila beer Koozie “in use” at the concert. We posted the photo on Facebook and received many funny comments and many more “likes.”

Based on this photo, we encouraged people to submit photos of the Tequila Sheila logo from parts unknown. The response has been amazing. We like to think of Tequila Sheila as a symbol of relaxation, leisure, and fun. The photos we have received from around the world definitely meet these criteria!

We actually have a hard time categorizing all the photos. We have received vacation photos from good times at the beach on two different oceans and the Gulf of Mexico. We received several photos from different road trips throughout the western US. The best of these photos features the Tequila Sheila logo with the famous Mt. Rushmore Presidents.

We have received photos from duck hunters in Missouri and Arkansas as well as a pheasant hunter in North Dakota. We even received a photo from Paris where the logo appeared with the Eiffel Tower! One of the most unique photos featured the logo at a European Dart Tournament in Germany.

We love all these photos. Please keep sending them. We will post Facebook and the webpage. We are also developing a series of photo contests throughout the year to coincide with specific events….like Spring Break, St. Patrick’s Day, Mardi Gras, etc. More information to follow!
